Riverfront Park (Clinton Public Access Site)

 
   

S. Water St. & Elm St. (NW side of SR 163 bridge)
Clinton, Indiana

Managed by the Town of Clinton, this access site has an ADA accessible paved boat ramp.

This access site also has a floating dock, picnic areas, a covered pavilion, water (pump), a large parking lot, and access to the town for food and supplies.

The Clinton DNR river landing access IS within walking distance of 2 gas stations. Citgo is, streetwise, 2 1/2 blocks south on Main St. across from the river bridge (shorter cutting through parking lots and alleyways). Sharps Marathon is on the corner of 4th and Elm Sts.(IN 163), 3 blocks distance.

From the river, this access site is on the right bank just downstream of a railroad bridge and just upstream of the SR 163 bridge.

A note was sent from site visitor Chad: during the four-day Labor Day weekend, ample electric service for camping on site is available through LIFT, Inc., sponsor of that weekend's Italian festival, for a paultry $10 a day.

Important: The river is constantly changing. Hazards like log jams and tree falls will come and go often, so always be ready for them. Even islands and riverbends come and go over time. Riffles and sandbars will appear and disappear based on water flow levels. Do not attempt boating on this or any river during high water. Please be safe, respectful and responsible on the river.
