ACCESS POINTS:
Clark's Landing Public Access Site

CR 950 S
Beal, Indiana

Managed by Indiana DNR, this access site has an ADA accessible paved boat ramp and dirt/gravel/grass parking area.

According to a local farmer (and boat ramp user) there is a rock shelf on the Indiana side at this point in the river, making it shallow enough that pontoons and other larger boats cannot access the river here. He said the boat ramp on the St. Francisville, Illinois side of the river (right bank), has better access for larger boats, but you need an Illinois license to use it.

From the river, the Clark's Landing access site is on the left bank directly across from the St. Francisville, Illinois boat ramp.

Important: The river is constantly changing. Hazards like log jams and tree falls will come and go often, so always be ready for them. Even islands and riverbends come and go over time. Riffles and sandbars will appear and disappear based on water flow levels. Do not attempt boating on this or any river during high water. Please be safe, respectful and responsible on the river.
