ACCESS POINTS:
France Park

4505 W. US 24 W
Logansport, Indiana

Managed by the Cass County Parks Department, France Park offers a nice paved ramp. Users of the boat ramp must register at the front gate. The main gate to France Park is off of US 24. However, to drive to the ramp you do not go through the park itself, but take Georgetown Road south off of US 24 (east of the France Park entrance). Follow Georgetown Road west to the access site.

At the access site is a picnic shelter and viewing platform. Just across the road is a hiking trail (about 1 mile) that takes you into France Park itself, which offers a campground, showers, restrooms, picnic shelters, a grocery store, and much more.

From the river, the access site is on the right bank after the third creek entering from the right (and a couple of miles upstream of the Georgetown bridge).

Important: The river is constantly changing. Hazards like log jams and tree falls will come and go often, so always be ready for them. Even islands and riverbends come and go over time. Riffles and sandbars will appear and disappear based on water flow levels. Do not attempt boating on this or any river during high water. Please be safe, respectful and responsible on the river.
